About the Project
When 2H Offshore decided to spin-off their integrity management division they approached Hawkeye for both the naming of the organization and the development of the corporate identity system. After extensive research and collaboration with the 2H Offshore team, Hawkeye presented a multitude of naming explorations, accompanied with specific strategies for each direction.
The name Clarus signifies the clarity that the company can provide with regard to offshore operations and how they can be run more efficiently and safely with data to back up the findings. One of the pivotal concepts for the company was that of constant and comprehensive communication between the Clarus team and their clients.
This network of communication is essentially the foundation of their services as the Clarus team must become intimately aware of all aspects of an offshore project in order to clearly communicate safer and more efficient means of handling the project.
This concept of communication led the design of the identity to resemble a symmetrical network of ideas signifying the relationship Clarus has with its clients. Using the identity as a foundation, icon systems and a complimentary geometric corporate typeface were used to further express the communication concept.
The website, environmental design, publication advertisements and corporate presentations all followed suit, positioning Clarus as a contemporary, technology-based company. This stark contrast to the other companies in their competitive arena helped to gain immediate traction for the company and its identity.
