About the Project
Bistro 72 is a casual French restaurant within Sugar Creek Country Club that has a contemporary flare paired with an authentic old world approach to the menu selections. It serves as a local fine dining venue for Houston patrons where they can enjoy a nice meal without the stuffiness that comes with white glove service.
It was important to the restaurant’s stake holder’s that the identity have different expressions to be used for the various applications throughout the restaurant. Three iterations of the identity were developed, each with specific uses for apparel, signage and menus. An icon system was also developed for the various categories of menu selections, depicting food items illustrated with a vintage etching execution. This allowed for the identity to be used in different ways across the various mediums without seeming redundant, while maintaining a consistent personality.
